Twist It Up!

If you find yourself struggling to overcome a particular issue in your project, you can occasionally jolt some creativity by forcing yourself to think of that issue as an asset.

Briefly pretend to cherish the very thing that is giving you so much grief...

• What actions would you take to ensure its survival?
  Knowing the actions necessary to ensure the issue’s survival could give you insight into its vulnerabilities.

• Are there portions of the issue that can be proven to have value?
  If so, then use them in your solution or find new ways to add that very same value.

This exercise can jolt your thinking long enough to illuminate potential ways to use the things that you cannot avoid.
